After obtaining my degree and post graduate diploma in Landscape Architecture I worked in the Netherlands in a well respected Landscape and Urban Design studio for 8 years. In this organisation I worked up to Project Manager level designing housing areas, hospital gardens and parks. Now, alongside designing private gardens, I work part time as a Senior Landscape Architect for BCP Council, Parks and Countryside.
Alongside my professional roles over the last 25 years, I have always designed private gardens - to make places that people love and can relax in gives me the greatest satisfaction. I view a private garden as much a part of your home as your living room - a space that reflects your style and needs.
My designs are a fusion of being inspired by natures plant pallet, knowledge of materials, my practical experience of installing landscapes, and design intuition. I always respond to the setting and the users needs, plus of course, the owners characters. I design with the environment and fair trade in mind and get a buzz out of hearing ‘I would never have thought of that’ from clients.
To keep my ideas and knowledge up to date I do CPD training, read about and regularly visit gardens and garden shows all over the world. I work with a network of trusted local contractors and suppliers who can help with your landscape creation. I am a Chartered Member of The Landscape Institute and am governed by their code of conduct. I have full Public and Private Liability Insurance
